Study | Access to Medically Assisted Reproduction (MAR)

The Health Regulatory Authority (ERS) conducted a study on access to Medically Assisted Reproduction (MAR), with the aim of clarifying the applicable legal framework for MAR and safeguarding users’ rights in accessing these healthcare services. This study also analyzes the procedures implemented in National Health Service (SNS) facilities to ensure equitable access to these techniques. Furthermore, it provides an overview of both public and private provision of MAR services, evaluates access to such care, and analyzes trends in the activity of healthcare providers offering MAR services between 2021 and 2024.
